What foster mom/dad wants you to know: Sandy has come a long way since being rescued with her 5 puppies from the streets of Mexico! This girl is so smart and adaptable and she continues to make progress every day. She is an absolute people pleaser and is determined that everyone she meets will be her best friend. She will do well in any home with plenty of love to give – and where she can be the center of attention!

Best qualities: Sandy is rock solid with all humans. Kids hugging and chasing, loud people, new people. If you are a human, Sandy will love you and insist you love her back.

Most unique trait: Her hilarious running style. It’s an adorable prance/trot. And of course her love of people.

In the house: Excellent house manners: crate trained, housebroken, good eater and even OK with bath time. She knows sit, down and paw and is ready to learn more. Sandy could live in apartment or townhouse, she just needs walks and to be a part of the action!

Out and about: Medium activity level – likes her walkies, but really just wants to do whatever you are doing. She is learning to play, and it is awkward and hilarious. She does love her frisbee. Sandy is working on her dog reactivity. She is manageable on walks but not all the way there yet! Luckily, she really really wants to be a good girl.

Medical requirements: Sandy had a mast cell tumor removed in summer 2021 and will need to be monitored in the future!
