Name - Prince

Weight – 53lb- I think I have gained 7-10 pounds in the past month as I was a bit skinny when they rescued me from the shelter

Other dogs – I really like other dogs but I am still learning to respect their boundaries, I get easily excited and we are working on having calm energy so we can play and interact respectfully. I can often jump up on the other dog or a human, but I am quick to respond to correction.

Cats – unknown

Kids – I would do best with teens or older as I can get easily excited and a bit mouthy, in just 30 days I have come so far but I need a patient, consistent human to remind me boundaries

Housing – I sleep well in my crate, but I am working on getting more comfortable in my crate during the day. I do not like being left alone in my crate, not just yet. We are working on it each day. My foster mom will sit outside my crate to help me feel safe, the trainer is giving my human guidance

Leash trained - I have very good manners on leash during my walks, I would meet every human if I could!

Housebroken - I am well potty trained but my foster mom takes me out after each meal and waits for me to find the perfect place to pee and poo.

Eating Habits - I LOVE my meals. I am such a gentle boy when I take treats

Commands known - I have learned the sit, stay, come and down commands. I keep great eye contact with my human. I recently started working on shake

Car rides – I do great in the care. My foster mom puts my harness on and seatbelts me in the back seat. After a few minutes I will lay down and nap

Bath time - I do not like baths though, maybe in time I will get more comfortable with bath time

Affectionate – I can be a bit mouthy but with quick correction I have come such a long way in this department.  I just need a lot of reminders - I am a teenager after all.  I love pets, belly rubs, butt scratches and kisses, just be quick to correct me if I nibble.

Activity level – Active young boy. I am on a slip lead often so my human can correct when I am overly excited around my senior foster brother and I need to calm my energy

Redeeming qualities – My ears and face, have you seen my pictures?!

Best feature -perfect size, photogenic, I love kisses when I am calm and I am a good snuggle buddy. We do our snuggles on my bed in the living room by the fireplace, I love the warmth.

What Foster Mom/Dad wants you to know - I am working on my impulse control (work in progress, remember I am a teenager)

I enjoy the company of other dogs and I really like my humans

I do best with another dog for company and companionship, they give me confidence

I am very food motivated so it has made my training sessions much easier

I did not know much about toys or what to do with them, but I have learned I really like toys with squeakers and the ball that squeaks-I will chase it and bring it back (most times)

One of my favorite things: my foster parents had a big tree and the leaves would fall in the thousands- I love to run and get the zooms in a pile of leaves. This makes my foster mom very amused (she has yet to catch it on camera)

I also like walking in the light rain, it tickles my head and I look up to see where it’s coming from-another very cute scene to watch
